Is your child in trouble with the law?

On Behalf of | May 26, 2017 | Criminal Defense

As a parent, the last thing you want to hear is that your child is in trouble with the law. There are many twists and turns associated with the juvenile justice system, so you need to know exactly what to expect along the way.

The first question you need to answer is this: What type of trouble is your child facing? Some of the most common types include:

School incidents. Bad things can happen when your child goes to school. This shouldn’t be the case, but you never know when he or she will get into trouble.

— Alcohol-related offenses. For example, driving under the influence and underage drinking can both land your child in trouble with the law.

— Property offenses. From vandalism to shoplifting, property offenses are all too common among children (especially teenagers).

At our law firm, we understand that parents are always concerned about the safety and well-being of their child. This is why we take great pride in helping parents when their child gets into trouble with the law. We know what it takes to not only answer your questions, but to help your child avoid the most serious punishment.

Although you do your best to keep your child out of trouble, it’s not always good enough. So, if something goes wrong, you should immediately learn more about his or her legal rights and the steps you can take to make things better. This is not a situation that any parent wants to face, but it’s good to know that there are things you can do.
